We are so honored to help raise funds and awareness for the fight against cancer, which has affected my family as it has many of yours. My wife, Linda, was diagnosed in 2008 with Stage 3 breast cancer, and after 12 rounds of chemotherapy, double mastectomy, and 10 years of hormonal therapy, she is now celebrating 13 years cancer-free. My children, Brittany and Taylor, rallied around Linda through American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life fundraiser at Vestavia Hills High School, and also through Relay For Life at the University of Georgia. Since Linda’s diagnosis, my mom and mother-in-law have also won their battles against cancer, and we are grateful for the progress made in cancer treatment and research. However, there is still more work to be done. We must continue to support the American Cancer Society by helping to fund research and the much-needed programs and services available to cancer patients.
For more than 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s. Join us to help finish the fight.
